Custom campervan conversions · Christchurch
Premium custom campervan conversions for private owners across New Zealand—from vehicle and layout decisions through joinery, power, water and handover.
A considered starting point
A campervan is a small space where every decision affects another. The bed changes the storage. The appliances change the power system. The number of travellers changes water, payload and seating requirements.
Elite RV brings those decisions together before the workshop work begins. The result is a clearer scope, a more practical layout and a conversion planned as one complete touring system.

Our role is to help turn your priorities into a practical conversion. These are simply three common places that conversations begin.
01Bring your wish list, saved photos and travel priorities. We’ll help turn them into a practical direction.
02We’ll assess your plan against the vehicle, available space, payload, systems and compliance requirements.
03Tell us how you want to travel. We’ll guide the vehicle, layout, features and system decisions with you.
Whichever point you are at, the next step is a conversation.
Discuss Your Conversion ↗
Before the build is confirmed
Not every van is suitable for every conversion. A strong plan considers the limits of the vehicle as carefully as the features you would like to add.
If you have not bought the van yet, speaking with us first may help you choose a more suitable starting point.
How a project moves forward

We discuss the vehicle, number of travellers, touring style, must-haves, budget range and intended timing.
The layout, storage, sleeping, seating, power, water and appliances are considered as one connected design.
You receive a defined scope showing the planned inclusions, assumptions, specialist pathways and next steps.
The conversion is completed through our Christchurch workshop, with related trades and sign-offs coordinated.
We explain the systems, provide the relevant documentation and remain available after you begin travelling.
Compliance planned early
The requirements depend on the vehicle and the work being completed. We identify the relevant pathway while the project is being scoped, not after the build is finished.
A conversion may involve electrical certification, gas certification, self-containment certification, engineering, seating or seatbelt assessment, LVV requirements or other specialist input. We clarify what applies, what Elite RV will coordinate and who is responsible for each formal sign-off.

Common questions
Every vehicle and project is different, but these answers cover the questions most owners ask first.
No. It is often useful to discuss the intended conversion before buying a vehicle. We can help identify the space, payload, roof height and configuration the project is likely to need.
Possibly. We first assess the vehicle, its condition, dimensions, weight capacity and suitability for the conversion you want. Not every vehicle is the right starting point for every layout.
Yes. You can arrive with a detailed plan, a few ideas or simply a list of travel needs. The design process is used to turn those priorities into a practical layout and coordinated system plan.
The required pathway depends on the work. We identify relevant electrical, gas, self-containment, seating, seatbelt, structural or specialist requirements early and confirm how the appropriate qualified person or authority will be involved.
Timing depends on the vehicle, scope, components, specialist work and workshop schedule. We discuss realistic timing once the project has been assessed and the required scope is clear.
Yes. Elite RV works with owners from across New Zealand. The conversion is completed through our Christchurch workshop, and we can discuss practical vehicle delivery and collection arrangements.

Start with the right information
